Unique investment opportunity and a last heaven on earth - that is Zanzibar.

Zanzibar is a very safe piece of land that falls under Tanzania. The growth of real estate is limited, both by the size of the island and by the sensible approach of government authorities. You will never live in a housing estate here. Only low houses and villas and authentic life around you. A beautiful tropical ocean with dolphins, romantic beaches with sparkling white sand, charming rock cliffs eroded over long ages, warmth, sun, tropical flora, and harmless fauna.
In Zanzibar, you will only find pleasant people. Crime is almost non-existent here and if it does occur, it is in the markets of the capital city. The capital city of Stone Town itself is a haven for romantics thanks to its historic core that still pulsates with life today. Just a few days… sometimes a few hours… and you feel like you are in a fairy tale.
Does it sound great to you? It does to us too. And that’s why the MINARA MATEMWE resort was created.
How the idea was born
Our Story
My story begins with traveling. After graduating from university, I decided to get to know the world more closely. During my studies, I visited several countries thanks to exchange study programs and thus gained the most valuable knowledge – fluency in English and broader horizons. I traveled across Europe, parts of Asia, Australia, North and Central America, and my heart’s destination – ZANZIBAR. I spent several months there and got to know the entire island perfectly. I even took my parents on a trip there, and the idea of investing in our own property was born, as Zanzibar also grew dear to their hearts. The idea of organizing work in the Czech Republic and then enjoying a peaceful retirement here in Zanzibar excited them. Who wouldn’t be thrilled by that! Africans generally have great respect for age and life experience, and older people are not seen as a burden on society. Life here is truly much more relaxed and better in all aspects.
The search for a plot began. Unfortunately, small plots owned by private individuals had long disappeared. All the land was bought up by investors. Our dreams seemed hopeless for a while… until I came across the conscientious mayor of the village MATEMWE. He knew that there was land for sale in their village. Larger than we expected and were looking for. Amid greenery, in a place where the tide is not so intense because it is protected by still-living and beautiful coral reefs, and within sight is the island of Mnemba – an icon of Zanzibar. We managed to agree on a price and especially on the purpose of use. No hotel complex, no construction destroying the authenticity of the place. Instead, work for the local population both during the construction and subsequent maintenance of the condominium that will stand here.
This was followed by cooperation with a very talented architect, Klaudia Paršová, who already has several similar projects in her portfolio and even built a fire station in Zanzibar 😊
